- News Flash: Truly Food for Thought: The study of food has had a home in higher education for generations. For Sarah Jacobson, the food studies program at the University of New Hampshire, called EcoGastronomy, was a way to bring more relevance to her interests in nutrition and sustainable food systems.
- News Flash: Nutrition Program member and Extension Specialist Debbie Luppold (along with Extension Educator Robin Peters) were awarded $1,000,180 for continuation of the Nutrition Connections program for 2012, through the N.H. Dept. of Health and Human Services. This is money Cooperative Extension uses to reach low income families and youth in Nutrition Connections. It specifically targets work with SNAP (food stamp) adults and youth.
- News Flash: Catherine Violette is the recipient of a $49,000 grant from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for “Food Safety from Farm and Garden to Preschool.”
